            • Conservation Sonoma: Sonoma County Habitat Conservation Plan & Natural Communities Conservation Plan

              John Mack, Natural Resources Division Manager with Permit Sonoma, will provide an overview of the process to develop a Habitat Conservation Plan/Natural Communities Conservation Plan for the County of Sonoma (Conservation Sonoma). The presentation will summarize what an HCP/NCCP is, species and activities being considered for inclusion in the plan, how an HCP/NCCP can benefit both conservation and planned economic development, and the current status of the planning process.

                Facilitator Stephanie Horii, along with experts from Permit Sonoma and environmental consultants, discuss the objectives, updates, and community feedback about this conservation initiative.

                • The April 8 River MAC Meeting is cancelled. The next regular meeting of the River MAC will take place on May 13, 2026. A special meeting of the River MAC, a Council of Governments Convening, will take place on Saturday April 18 at the Monte Rio Community Center.
