Major Land Use Project Process & Steps for Public Input

Scott Orr, Assistant Director at Permit Sonoma, will review the process for major county projects, including the optimal times for public participation, method(s) for keeping the Committee abreast of upcoming projects in order to appropriately agendize committee meetings, and plan for providing input on events with significant community impact.
Discussion on 2024 Committee Organization
Discussion
Discussion regarding 2024 Committee membership and leadership. Action will be taken at a regular meeting of the River MAC. MAC Reps and Community interested in participation on the Land Use Committee should attend this meeting.
Meeting Calendar
Discussion
The committee will discuss a prospective standing calendar for 2024 Land Use Committee meetings, taking into consideration the Permit Sonoma notification timeline as well as the timeline needed for the Committee's need to report to the MAC within public feedback periods, it is recommended that the Committee continue to meet on the first Thursday of even-numbered months: February 1, April 4, June 6, August 1, October 3 and December 5.Additionally, the Land Use Committee may hold special meetings at the discretion of the chair.
