Approval of the Agenda

This approval process ensures that the agenda accurately reflects the items to be discussed and decided upon. Members may request adjustments to the agenda, including reordering or deletion of items at this time. Any changes must comply with the Brown Act requirements for public notice and agenda setting. The agenda must be finalized before the Council proceeds with other meeting items.

Statement of Conflict of Interest

This is the time for the Chair, Vice Chair and Council Members to indicate any statements of conflict of interest for any item listed on this agenda. The River MAC bylaws state that members will not involve themselves in official River MAC activities that could materially benefit them personally, their business interests, or the interests of organizations that they represent. In a conflict of interest, the member will abstain from voting, and the abstention will be recorded in the minutes.

This is an opportunity for Councilmembers to provide a brief comments, restricted to matters within the Board’s jurisdiction. Due to Brown Act regulations, this is not a time for discussion of any item, however a brief dialogue about considering an item for a future agenda is permitted during this time.

Comments from the public regarding matters of general interest not on the agenda, but related to the Sonoma Coast MAC business. Pursuant to the Brown Act, the Sonoma Coast MAC cannot consider issues or take action on any requests during this comment period. Due to time constraints, comments will be limited at the discretion of the Chair. -

Presentation on Offshore Drilling Threats and Coastal Protection - Richard Charter, Save My Coast Coalition
Discussion
Richard Charter, representative of the Save My Coast Coalition, will present on current threats of renewed offshore oil and gas drilling and the coalition's statewide efforts to protect California's coastline. The coalition includes local governments (including Sonoma County), nonprofit organizations, and community advocates working to preserve coastal resources. Learn more at savemycoast.org.

Review and Approval of the Coast MAC 2025 Annual Report

Possible Action
The MAC Chair will present the draft Annual Report summarizing the Council's activities, community engagement efforts, and advisory recommendations made during 2025. The council may discuss the contents of the report and may vote to approve its submission to the Board of Supervisors.
