Office Manager's Monthly Report
1. Financial Statements for January 2024
  
  The financial statement for January 2024 were presented to the board.
2. County of Mendocino has closed fiscal year end June 30, 2023
  
  The County of Mendocino has closed fiscal year ended June 30, 2023. David Farnsworth CPA, the District's auditor, will start the June 30, 2023 audit on March 12, 2024.
3. Ethics and harrassment prevention training dates
  
  Kornegay will meet with each board member and schedule their harrassment prevention and ethics trainings. The trainings will be online.
4. Correspondence:
  a. GSRMA board meeting wrap up from Rick Beale of Orland Cemetery District
  b. CAPC Trustee reference manual
  
  Kornegay printed and distributed a copy of the CAPC Trustee reference manual to all Trustees.
Grounds Foreman's Monthly Report
1. Burials for month and year to date
  
  Grounds Foreman Cooper reported that year to date burials through January 2024 are 7 full and 4 ash for a total of 11 burials. 2023 year to date burials were 5 full and 4 ash for a total of 9 burials.
2. Grounds maintenance
  
  Cooper started spraying the grounds for weed control and fertilized one more time. One full burial was dug for Hopland Cemetery.
Investment Committee Report
The Stifel Endowment Investment account reports were presented to the Board for January 2024. The balance in the Stifel Endowment account as of January 31, 2024 is $1,736,045.03 and the balance in the Stifel Endowment Interest account as of January 31, 2024 is $118,283.75.
Installation of new gates and fence repairs
1. Estimates from A to Z Construction and Arrow Fencing to install new gates and chain link fence repairs
  
  The District received proposals from Arrow Fencing and A to Z Construction to install a new driveway gate, install a new pedestrian gate and make needed fence repairs on the south side of Block N-3 and Block B-B, along Low Gap Road. A to Z Construction's bid was $3,250.00 and Arrow Fencing's bid was $7318.64.
  Trustee Gary Mirata motioned to approve. Trustee Carol Connerton seconded the motion.

Golden State Risk Management Authority Election
Golden State Risk Management Authority has two candidates running for the cemetery district position. Orland Cemetery and Santa Margarita Cemetery. Currently Rick Beale from the Orland Cemetery sits on the board. After each GSRMA board meeting Rick does a wrap up report and sends to all the cemetery District's. He has done a great job keeping the cemeteries informed.
Trustee Gary Mirata motioned to approve. Trustee Carol Connerton seconded the motion.
