Office Manager's Monthly Report
1. Financial Statements presented for April 2024
  
  The April 2024 finacial statements were presented to the Board.
  Office Manager Kornegay informed the Board that she received an email from GSRMA that morning regarding the Gates litigation with a Reservation of Rights letter attached, which she explained to the Board.

Grounds Foreman's Monthly Report
1. Burials for month and year to date
  
  Burials for month and year to date: Grounds Foreman Cooper reported that year to date burials are 18 full and 28 ash for a total of 46 burials. 2023 year to date burials were 19 full and 17 ash for a total of 36 burials.
2. Grounds maintenance
  
  Cooper reported that the VFW will have a Memorial Day ceremony this year. They will start putting up the flags at 6:30 am.
Investment Committee Report- Stifel Investment financial reports presented for April 2024
The Stifel Endowment Investment reports were presented to the Board for April 2024. The balance in the Stifel Endowment account as of April 2024 is $1,706,787 and the balance in the Stifel Endowment Interest account is $133,766.
Employee Health Benefits
Discussion was held regarding the District's health benefits. Recently an employee dropped their health insurance benefits due to having coverage elsewhere. A question was asked of the board if it would be possible to offer a stipend in lieu of benefits if an employee doesn't need health benefits due to having other insurance coverage. Kornegay talked to nine cemeteries and all nine stated that they do not offer a stipend in lieu of health benefits. After discussion the Trustees all agreed, they did not want to add a stipend in lieu of health benefits policy.
Approve change orders from Valley Paving for repairing water lines
Valley Paving sent over a proposal to include change orders for the water lines that they installed/replaced.
Trustee Gary Mirata motioned to approve. Trustee Carol Connerton seconded the motion.

Hopland Cemetery District contract to perform burial services
August 1, 2024 the contract for burial services with Hopland Cemetery District will expire. After discussion the Trustees have decided not to renew the contract to provide interment services with the Hopland Cemetery District.

  Reportable Action - Part Time office assitant Natalie Perry will be promoted to full time starting pay period 2024-12 which starts on May 26, 2024.
