  1. Call to Order
    The meeting was called to order at 5:31 pm by Chair Kristine Gorbet.

      Staff Present: Fire Chief Bob OrangeĀ

  2. Approve the Agenda   Director Wanda Carpenter motioned to approve. Vice-Chair Susan Doran seconded the motion.

    The motion passed with the following vote:

  4. Approve Meeting Minutes  
      Director Wanda Carpenter motioned to approve. Director Mary Cronin seconded the motion.

  5. Financials Review: July & August 2024     Director Mary Cronin motioned to approve. Director Wanda Carpenter seconded the motion.

  6. General Manager Report: By Adam Cox

    Mandatory staff/Volunteer Firefighters meeting October 1st, 2024 This meeting will cover IVCSD projects, upcoming mandatory trainings and the priorities set by the IVCSD board.

    Update on the EPA Community Change Grant- weeks away from submitting the application.

    Park Upgrades- Planning to get Greenville Park upgrades, Recreation Coordinator Destiny along with Kaley Bentz have been putting some options and scopes together for IVCSD, along with some research on sod vs turf.

    Auditors were here at IVCSD for FY23/24. 

    Plumas County is participating in a Statewide grant that will be bringing Middle Mile Fiber to Plumas County. Coming up 89 from Feather River Canyon. Asking to put a small utility hut at 19646 Hwy 89. IVCSD is working with Plumas County regarding the Utility Hut.

    IVRPD has appointed two of their Board Members to discuss an annexation/merger. A meeting will be set up.

    Board Members Trainings-  All Board Members will need to complete all training (Sexual Harassments, Brown Act and the Ethic Training)

  9. Review Draft Final Budget for FY 2024-25   Vice-Chair Susan Doran motioned to approve. Director Mary Cronin seconded the motion.

    The motion passed with the following vote:

  10. Resolution 2024-01: Volunteer Fire Capacity Grant (aka "50/50 Grant")     Vice-Chair Susan Doran motioned to approve. Director Mary Cronin seconded the motion.

    The motion passed with the following vote:
      5   In Favor         Opposed
         Abstained         Absent         Recused

  11. Reschedule the Regular Board Meeting of October 23rd, 2024 to October 30th, 2024

    Regular Board Meeting for October 23rd, 2024 is approved to reschedule for October 30th, 2024

    Director Mary Cronin motioned to approve. Vice-Chair Susan Doran seconded the motion.

    The motion passed with the following vote:
      5   In Favor         Opposed
         Abstained         Absent         Recused

  12. Adjournment

    Motion to Adjourn was made by Director Susan Doran and a second was made by Director Andy Meyers. Meeting was adjourned by 7:10PM.
